Big Island wedding vendor guide · Hawaiʻi Island
The vendors we actually work with.
Every vendor here comes from a real Big Island wedding we've captured: the planners, florists, glam teams, photographers, DJs and caterers who show up on time and make wedding days feel easy. No paid placements.
Updated November 2026. Always check availability and pricing directly with each vendor. Pair this with our Big Island venue guide.
Book local, give back to the island. 🌺 When you hire Hawaiʻi-based vendors, your wedding budget stays here: it supports local families, small businesses, farms and lei makers, and helps keep island traditions alive. Bonus: no mainland travel fees.

Vendor FAQ
How far ahead should I book Big Island wedding vendors?
Book your venue and planner first, ideally 9–15 months out. Photographers, content creators, florists and hair and makeup teams for peak season (summer and holidays) often book 6–12 months ahead. Many Big Island vendors take a limited number of weddings each year.
Should I hire local Big Island vendors or bring my own?
We always recommend local. Hiring Hawaiʻi-based vendors keeps your wedding budget on the island, supporting local families and small businesses. Local vendors also know the venues, the light, the wind and the permit rules, and you skip travel fees for flights, hotels and rental cars. If you bring a mainland vendor, budget for their travel and make sure your venue allows outside vendors.
Do I need a wedding planner on the Big Island?
Many resorts require at least a month-of coordinator for bigger weddings, and rental venues like Kona Salt Farm or Holualoa Inn rely on you to bring every vendor. A local planner or coordinator handles the logistics, rain calls and timeline so you can enjoy the day.
Is this list sponsored?
No. Every vendor here comes from real Big Island weddings The BTS Dulhan has worked, and nobody paid to be listed.

Real couples, real tears.
An absolute game-changer for me as a wedding planner.
She fit in seamlessly with our photography team and planner and added so much joy to the day.
I literally woke up the next day & it was uploading.
Within 24 hours, she had uploaded thousands of photos and videos and a dozen edited reels.
It felt like such a gift to still be on the island and already getting videos from Ruchi.
We were initially on the fence since we already had both a photographer and videographer, but we're now total advocates for it.
Do not be fooled into thinking it's “just iPhone content.” Ruchi's eye, timing and talent were 23098x better than anything we could have taken.
I couldn't believe that what I was seeing was shot on an iPhone!
I cannot stress enough to others that a content creator is worth the splurge.
Worth every penny and definitely one of the most valued vendors from our wedding day!
