Indian & South Asian wedding photographer · Hawaiʻi
Your dulhan era, in paradise.
Haldi giggles, mehndi on the lanai, a baraat with ocean views and pheras at golden hour. The BTS Dulhan photographs, films and captures Indian, Sikh and fusion weddings across Hawaiʻi, and our first content lands in your inbox within 24 hours, while the whole family is still dancing.
"Dulhan" means bride.
I'm Ruchi. I grew up surrounded by the most epic Indian weddings, which is exactly why this business is called The BTS Dulhan. I know when the mama's side is about to cry, that the varmala can turn into a full-on lifting contest, and that the aunties' dance-off is not optional. Nobody has to explain the rituals to us, so you can stay present while we catch every moment.
Based on Hawaiʻi Island (the Big Island), we cover Indian and South Asian weddings at resorts like the Fairmont Orchid and Kona Village, and on every Hawaiian island.

Every event, every ritual.
Mehndi & haldi
Henna close-ups, turmeric fights and the cousins who show up in matching outfits. Haldi is best in the morning shade in Hawaiʻi, and we'll help you plan it.
Sangeet & welcome party
Performances, family speeches and the dance floor that never empties, captured as iPhone content you can post that same night.
Baraat & varmala
The dhol, the groom's entrance and the varmala moment, from the middle of the crowd where the energy actually is.
Pheras & Anand Karaj
Hindu ceremonies, Sikh Anand Karaj and fusion ceremonies, covered respectfully and timed around Hawaiʻi's early sunset.
Reception & after-party
Entrances, speeches, the first dance and the late-night bhangra, plus Super 8 film if you want it to look like your parents' wedding video.
Multi-day coverage
Two- and three-day weddings are our favorite. One team across every event means your story feels like one film, not five vendors.

Planning an Indian wedding in Hawaiʻi?
Build the day around sunset
Hawaiʻi's sunset ranges from about 5:45 PM in late November to 7:08 PM in early July. Pheras usually run 60–90 minutes, so start early enough to finish with golden light for portraits. Our free timeline builder has an Indian / multi-day option.
Ask your venue early
Check each resort's rules for the havan (sacred fire), the dhol, the baraat route and music curfews before you lock in your timeline.
Haldi in the shade
Tropical midday sun is harsh. Morning or late-afternoon haldi in open shade looks softer and keeps everyone comfortable.
Pack for wind and salt
Trade winds love a dupatta. Pin it well, and keep blotting papers handy for humid afternoon events.

Yes. The BTS Dulhan photographs and films Indian, Sikh, Hindu and fusion weddings across Hawaiʻi, including the Big Island (Kona, Kohala Coast and Hilo), Maui, Oʻahu and Kauaʻi. We cover mehndi, haldi, sangeet, baraat, pheras or Anand Karaj, and the reception.
What services do you offer for Indian weddings?
Three services you can book alone or together: wedding content creation (unlimited behind-the-scenes iPhone photos and videos, raw within 24 hours and polished edits within 7 days), editorial wedding photography, and Super 8 wedding film.
Can you cover a multi-day Indian wedding?
Yes, multi-day weddings are our favorite. Many couples book us for the welcome party or sangeet, the haldi and mehndi, and the wedding day, so the same team tells the whole story.
Are you familiar with Indian and Sikh wedding traditions?
Yes. Ruchi grew up attending Indian weddings, and our team has covered Hindu ceremonies, Sikh Anand Karaj and fusion weddings in Hawaiʻi. We know the key moments, from the varmala to the vidaai, so we're in the right spot before they happen.
How much does an Indian wedding content creator cost in Hawaii?
Content creation starts at $275/hr. Multi-day Indian weddings are quoted based on the events and hours you need. Send us your dates for a custom quote.
Where in Hawaii have you shot Indian weddings?
Recent Indian and South Asian weddings include the Fairmont Orchid and Kona Village on Hawaiʻi Island. We travel to every Hawaiian island.

Real couples, real tears.
It allowed our friends and family who couldn't attend to follow along and feel part of the celebration all weekend long.
She even captured the tears of joy in my father's eyes during our father-daughter first look.
Within 24 hours, she had uploaded thousands of photos and videos and a dozen edited reels.
It felt like such a gift to still be on the island and already getting videos from Ruchi.
We were initially on the fence since we already had both a photographer and videographer, but we're now total advocates for it.
Do not be fooled into thinking it's “just iPhone content.” Ruchi's eye, timing and talent were 23098x better than anything we could have taken.
I couldn't believe that what I was seeing was shot on an iPhone!
I cannot stress enough to others that a content creator is worth the splurge.
Worth every penny and definitely one of the most valued vendors from our wedding day!
Let this be your sign to do it. I can promise you won't regret it!
