What is a wedding shadow day?
A shadow day is a full day of in-person learning on a real wedding. You stay by Ruchi's side while she captures the wedding on iPhone, watch how she works, and ask questions as she explains her shots, iPhone settings, light and decisions in real time. Shadow days teach iPhone content creation only, not camera photography.
Where do shadow days happen?
Most of our weddings are on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, so shadow days are easiest to book there. We occasionally travel to Maui, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and the other islands, so a shadow day may be available there too. Reach out for availability.
Do I need experience to shadow?
No. All you need is an iPhone. Shadow days work for complete beginners, content creators, and photographers or videographers who want to add iPhone wedding content creation to their business.
Will I be shooting the wedding?
A shadow day is about watching and learning, not second shooting. Any photos or videos you take, and whether you can share them, depend on the couple's permission, and we'll go over that before the day.
How much does a shadow day cost?

What should I wear?
We'll talk about it on the prep call. In short: dressy, neutral and comfortable enough to move all day, so you blend in with the guests and look professional to every vendor.
