How much does awedding content creatorcost in Hawaiʻi?
Real 2026–2027 prices by hours of coverage, what's included, the add-ons that sneak up on you, and how to get the most for your budget.
By Ruchi, The BTS Dulhan · Big Island wedding content creator
Short answer: most wedding content creators charge $2,200–$3,300 for an 8-hour wedding day and $2,700–$3,500 for 10 hours. Shorter 5–6 hour packages start around $1,600–$2,000, and multi-day wedding weekends run $3,200–$7,000. If your creator flies in from the mainland, expect about $1,500 more for travel, either built into the package or added on top.
These numbers come from the 2026–2027 package pricing of six wedding content creators who book Hawaiʻi weddings, both creators based in Hawaiʻi and mainland creators who travel here. Every business is kept anonymous.
Wedding content creator prices by coverage
| Partial day (5–6 hours) | $1,600–$2,000, or about $3,100 for a mainland creator with travel included |
|---|---|
| Full day (8 hours) | $2,200–$3,300 (the most popular package) |
| Full day + reception (10 hours) | $2,700–$3,500 |
| Wedding weekend (welcome party + wedding day) | $3,200–$4,900 |
| Two full days (about 12 hours) | Up to about $7,000, plus travel |
| Founder or lead creator vs. team member | Usually $600–$800 more for the same hours |
Divide a package by its hours and most creators land at roughly $275–$400 an hour for a full wedding day.
What's usually included
- Unlimited (or several hundred) raw iPhone photos and videos from your coverage hours
- Raw content delivered within 24 hours, usually by Google Drive, Dropbox or a shared album. This is the industry standard now.
- 1 to 6 edited reels or TikToks, depending on the package, delivered anywhere from 2 to 7 days after the wedding
- A pre-wedding call or questionnaire and a content plan or shot list
- A 50% retainer to hold your date, with the balance due about a week before
Common add-ons and what they cost
| Extra hour on the wedding day | $150–$300 per hour |
|---|---|
| Welcome party or rehearsal dinner | About $200–$400 per hour, or $500 for a 3-hour block |
| Extra edited reel or TikTok | $250–$275 each |
| Instagram Stories recap or takeover | $500–$700 |
| Second content creator | From about $100 per hour |
| Travel for a mainland creator | About $1,500 (flights, about 4 nights of hotel, rental car) |
What changes the price
- Hours of coverage. The biggest factor. Most couples book 8 hours, from getting ready through the first part of the reception.
- Who shows up. Many companies charge more when the founder shoots your wedding herself instead of a team member.
- Travel. In Hawaiʻi, booking a creator who already lives on your island saves you the flight, hotel and car rental. Inter-island travel costs much less than flying someone in from the mainland.
- Extra events. Welcome parties, mehndi, sangeet and farewell brunches are usually added by the hour. Multi-day Indian weddings are typically quoted as a custom package.
- Number of edits. Every extra reel adds editing time, which is why each one is priced separately.
How to get the most for your budget
- Book a creator based in Hawaiʻi so you skip the mainland travel fee
- Plan your coverage around the moments you'll actually post: getting ready, first look, ceremony, sunset portraits and the first hour of dancing
- Ask whether "unlimited content" is truly unlimited or has a minimum count
- Bundle a welcome party into your package instead of adding it later
- Use the free timeline builder so your coverage hours cover golden hour, not dead time
Is a wedding content creator worth it?
Your photographer delivers your gallery in weeks or months. A content creator gives you the behind-the-scenes iPhone photos and videos the next morning, so you can relive the day, post while everyone's still talking about it, and send clips to the family who couldn't fly to Hawaiʻi. As one of our couples put it: "One of the best wedding decisions we ever made!"
Questions to ask before you book
- Will you shoot my wedding yourself, or a team member? Have they been trained by you?
- Is travel included? Are you based on my island?
- How soon do I get my raw content, and how soon do I get the edits?
- How many edited reels are included, and what does an extra one cost?
- Can I add a welcome party or extra hours later?
